US tour 2010

30 June 2010
This time, I'm writing in Swedish...

Riktigt vackert.

I vanlig ordning invigde guvernören hela kalaset.
När han såg mig sa han: BeeeAtriss!! I am so glad that you are back to honor our State with your presence!! How is Caarrrl Bildt?
Oh, Sänk jo! Ajm gläd to bi her. Carl? He is fine… I guess..I think. Haven’t talked to him in a while… host.

Hurra.

Då e man inte så kaxig när han ba: Well, do you have any good song ideas?
Harkel… Jäs, whåt do jo sink abaot dis?

Lately...

16 April 2010

...I've been doing alot of different stuff. Where should I begin?
My writing. I've been writing alot. Mostly songs for me and to my next album but also for other artists. That's been keeping me real busy.
Jiihaa, it's Fuuun, fun, fun!

Singing. Off course I've been singing :). Couple of weeks ago I had the  honor to sing at Annexet, Golben here in Stockholm together with Jakob Stadell at the Working Life conferense. And having the awsome gospel choir By Grace backing me up, it just couldn't go wrong.
And it didn't ;)

Then there was the Bengt Johansson tour.
I got to sing some really great songs, meet some really nice people and see some really nice roads ;).
Bengt is a great artist and an even greater person.
We really got along great! Not to mention the band..
So I guess "great" is the word for that tour.
Thank you Bengt for taking me with you!

Since I liked the band so much I brought the along to play with me at Underbar Bar.
A lot of people came and I sang alot of my new songs. First time live. The response was more than I could hope for.
Thank you friends and fans for your support and off course for coming to my concert!

Now I'm busy planning the US tour. I'm going in May.
Starting in Mississippi, performing at the Mississippi Grammy Event at the Hard Rock Casino in Biloxi and ending in New York.
I'll be staying one week in Nashville as well writing.
Looking forward to that trip!

Bye for now!

Writing

19 October 2009

Writing, writing, writing...
This last couple of weeks I've been really busy being creative!
I've been writing almost a song per day. Weeehooo!
Hopefully some of them are good too ; )
We'll see.

Also, Christmas Show rehearsals started.
I think it's gonna be a great show this year!

The US tour .

11 September 2009

What a great time I've had in Mississippi!!

Week began in Jackson with rehearsals with a great band!

The musicians were from Nashville and Jackson.
The rest of the week was filled with even more rehearsals and interviews for radio and newspapers.

The concert at The Auditorium was on Thursday. The place was sold out and it went really great!

The musicians played awesome and it really sounded good!

Thanks guys and girls!

The day after we all went down to the coast to Biloxi to get ready for the annual NGA event (National Governor's Association).
It was 36 years ago
Mississippi hosted this event where all governors from the US gather for meetings and entertainment.

And there was I – little Beatrice from Sweden. It sure felt special. What an honour!
Other artists were r n' b singer Brandy, Paul Overstreet songwriter from
Nashville, The Williams Brothers and Eddie Cotton.

The show became a success! The audience was very pleased and so was I.

The day after, I went down to New Orleans to sing at the Scandinavian church. We also got to see the town a little.

New Orleans is really cool.
Then back to
Biloxi again for meetings and pool party :).
Check out the pictures!

Now we have landed in
New York. Yesterday I had a concert at the Swedish Church on Manhattan. That was a lot of fun.

Now I’m just gonna enjoy the city for a couple of days.

Dinner tonight :).

In the studio

6 June 2009

Yeah!
It sounds gooood..
We've had some really inspiring, creative and fun days in the studio.
Been recording three new songs.
In the pictures:
Per Lindvall (drums), Sebastian Robertsson (piano), Esbjörn Öhrwall (guitar), Robban and Robban

Singing in the City hall

7 March 2009

Last night I played at an award in the City hall. It was a big event and people from 20 countries. The award was held in the Golden hall.

Together with Johan Boding I sang a medley of songs from the musical Chess (songs written by Björn and Benny from ABBA). It was fuuuuun..
I wore a dress (borrowed) worth more than my entire wardrobe..

What an awesome night at Berns

22 February 2009

Couple of days ago I played at Berns. I was the opening act for Per-Erik Hallin (he once played with Elvis!! You can say he is the Swedish James Burton ;)..) and his band. And it was not just any band…Per Lindvall, Sven Lindvall, Peter Hallström, Staffan Astner, Sebbe Nyhlund, Frank Ådahl just to mention a few.

Mats Öberg, Cindy Peters and Carola were guest appearance.
It was real crowded. People were standing like packed herrings… as we say in
Sweden ;)
I really enjoyed playing and it was a very fun gig! The response from the crowd was great.
Per-Erik was fantastic! And the band too.

A night to remember.

Duvan cup

9 February 2009

Last week I played in Lycksele at Duvan cup's jubilee concert.
It was me, Daniel Lindström, Christoffer Hiding and Bengt Johansson.
Me and the boys... ; )
Lycksele was cold, about -20 degrees Celsius (-4 F), but at the ice arena were we played the heat was on!! It was a big crowd, about a thousand and I gave all I had. Sweaty and fun.
The band was from Umeå and lead by Erik Wäcklén. They really rocked the place! Thank's guys (and girl)  for a great concert

I love going up north. Love the snow, the silence, the woods and the simplisity. Think I need to book a trip to the mountains and get me some skiing..

Bye for now!

Girl power

25 January 2009

Yesterday I sang at a women’s conference in
Stockholm.
It was a conference to encourage women with leader positions.
The place was packed with cheering girls, women, ladies and chicks.

It was so inspiring standing in front of all these hungry women and singing “…now the wind is blowing my way and I’m learning to fly and as I’m drifting on the highway I am leaving the ground. Here I come!!”

I like girl power…

We need that. We need to get together and encourage each other.

Go girls!

A new year!

20 January 2009

Hello!
I really hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that 2009 started out great!

I have had a well-deserved, long and nice Christmas. I’ve been spending most of the holiday in my hometown Örnsköldsvik with my family and friends.

We had a lot of snow and the weather was sunny and cold, so I took many nice and long walks on the frozen lake. Me like…  On the evening of Christmas eve I sang in the church were I grew up. My brother Richard backed me up with his guitar, Sebastian played the piano and my cousin Patricia sang one song with me. It was nostalgia.

The country shows in November and December went great! The show was filled with energy, humour and dance and off course a lot of great music. I had a blast! And I think everybody that came to see us also had a good time. Thank you Jultorp ranch for having us.
I have posted some pictures from the show. Check it out!

You can also find pictures of me as Lady Marmalade. A performance I did at a big event at Cirkus in Stockholm in November. People didn’t recognize me with all the make up. Do you?

In December I also performed at a charity concert in Örebro together with Paul Mac Innes and the gospel choir Joybells. That was a lot of fun :). The church was packed and having  that great chior backing you up was awsome!  Joybells rules ; )

Now I’m back in Stockholm and continuing my song writing. I’ve also been in the studio a couple of days trying out some new songs and it feels really good. I think I’m on to something...

So long my friends!
